Thank You

I want to thank our volunteers and supporters for everything they did in order to help make us a competitive campaign. Even though we did not achieve the ultimate goal, we accomplished many things along they way. In the days that follow, we will take the time to understand the results and how well we executed our strategy. However, without you it would not have been possible to advance our platform of bringing jobs back to the Eighth District.

Chris Geissler calls on opponent to step out of the race

WAUCONDA - Republican candidate for the eighth congressional district Chris Geissler today responded to the news of a lawsuit filed against his primary opponent for failure to pay staff and vendors for services rendered. Keith Liscio, former campaign manager for Geissler's opponent Joe Walsh, filed suit today after not having received the agreed upon payment of $20,000 for his services. Liscio left the campaign in December after repeated attempts to get Walsh to meet his obligation.

"One of the things I have a fundamental challenge with the Republican Party, is when the party decides to exercise the constitution at its discretion or not," Geissler said. "I think there are very, very strict rules in the 10th amendment that define when the government should be involved at the federal level and when the decisions should go to the states."
