I want to thank our volunteers and supporters for everything they did in order to help make us a competitive campaign. Even though we did not achieve the ultimate goal, we accomplished many things along they way. In the days that follow, we will take the time to understand the results and how well we executed our strategy. However, without you it would not have been possible to advance our platform of bringing jobs back to the Eighth District.

As we move ahead, all the candidates and their supporters engaged in this race with one common objective: take back the Eight Congressional District for Illinois. Our seat is one of 435 that our forefathers established in order for we the people to have a voice in Washington. It was not intended for Melissa Bean or anyone else to sell out to special interests or blind partisan loyalty.

Please join me in congratulating Joe Walsh and supporting him as the Republican candidate to challenge Melissa Bean in November.

On a personal note, I cannot thank everyone enough in taking the time to support us, sharing their thoughts and concerns with us, and voting for us. You have touch our lives in ways I cannot even describe. We truly felt like we were serving the people of the district with the dedication and service it deserves. You will remain in our hearts, minds, and prayers. I hope you continue to share your blessings and concerns with me. I will do everything I can to provide this district what it needs.
